COVID-19 Tuition Relief for Able Seaman Students

By Captain Patrick Boyle

The coronavirus outbreak presents new, unprecedented challenges for mariners who require training to upgrade their USCG credential.

In response to the various shut-down and stay-home orders related to COVID-19 and the impact to mariners, Seafarers Worldwide Career Training has authorized a temporary tuition relief program.

Beginning April 2nd all mariners enrolling in our Able Seaman Telepresence On-line course will be eligible to defer tuition payment until October 1st, 2020.

The outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) presents new challenges for sailors at sea and ashore as employers strive to keep businesses running and support the health and well-being of their mariners.

As we navigate the challenges posed by the spread of COVID-19, we remain committed to supporting our future mariners
